Avengers Assemble! - Vengadores Reunanse!

I finally watched Avengers, and I have a couple of things in my mind:

1)  Disney/Marvel's roadmap for the next movies is clearly decided.  We're talking about at least 3-4 more years worth of movies; Tony Stark has alien tecnology, Captain America found his place in the present, at last someone figured how to write the Hulk, I'd love a spy movie with Hawkeye-Black Widow-Fury.  The one I am not so clear about is Thor, but I have faith they will do something interesting with the character's scope now that Thanos has entered the picture.

2)  Disney will recover the money they lost with John Carter, which will probably allow them to continue taking risks with high budget movies.  In fact, with so much money why not try to buy back the rights to the Fantastic 4 or the X-Men?  Having the Chitauri, who are the Skrulls, who in turn are traditional FF enemies and seeing they didn't help left a bitter taste in my mouth.

3)  Te future of DC movies is effectively DESTROYED.  Traditionally the anti-life equation, that is, the total elimination of free will is a motivation for Darkseid, possibly DC's best villain.  The fact that they called the Cosmic Cube a tesseract also obstructs DC from using a very prominent one in their stories.  And finally that they used Thanos, who is an inferior copy of Darkseid, will make it very difficult for DC to use their most important cosmic villain in a way that feels original.  Meanwhile, what is DC doing with their most emblematic character, Superman?  Take off his briefs and have him fight Kryptonians; I get bored just typing it.

4)  I hope Avengers displaces a few populist and inferior movies from the box office rankings, to prove how you make a smart action movie.

Por fin vi Avengers, y se me ocurren varias cosas:

1)  El roadmap de Disney/Marvel para las próximas películas está decidido.  Por lo menos 3-4 años más de películas; Tony Stark tiene tecnología extraterrestre, Capitán América encontró su lugar en el presente, por fin encontraron a alguien que supiera escribir a Hulk, se me antoja una movie de espías con Hawkeye-Black Widow-Fury.  El que no tengo claro es Thor, pero la verdad tengo fe que hagan algo interesante con el scope que el personaje tiene, ahora que Thanos entró en escena.

2)  Disney va a recuperar la plata que perdió con John Carter, que posiblemente les permita seguir corriendo riesgos con películas de alto presupuesto.  De hecho, con tanta plata por qué no comprar de vuelta a los Fantastic 4 o a los X-Men?  Me dejó un sin sabor que nos invadieran los Chitauri, que son los Skrulls, que a su vez son enemigos tradicionales de los FF y ellos no ayudaran.

3)  DESTRUYERON el futuro de las películas de DC.  Tradicionalmente, la anti-life equation, es decir, la eliminación total del libre albedrío es una motivación para Darkseid, posiblemente el mejor villano de DC comics.  El que llamaran tesseract al Cosmic Cube también evita que DC use uno muy prominente en sus historias.  Y al final el que usen a Thanos, que es una copia inferior de Darkseid, va a dificultar que DC use su villano cósmico más importante de manera que se vea original.  Mientras tanto qué es lo que va a hacer DC con su personaje más emblemático, Superman?  Quitarle los calzones y ponerlo a pelear con Kriptonianos; hasta que me aburro con sólo digitarlo.

4) Espero que Avengers desplace películitas populistas e inferiores de los rankings de taquilla, para demostrar cómo se hace una película de acción inteligente.
